Google Analytics now has expanded functionality for SEO specialists, such as:
- Two new goal types to measure user engagement and branding success on your site. You can set thresholds for Time on Site and Pages per Visit. Also you can define 20 goals max per profile
- Expanded Mobile Analytics: Google Analytics now tracks mobile websites and mobile apps so you can better measure your mobile marketing efforts. If you're optimizing content for mobile users and have created a mobile website, Mobile Analytics can track traffic to your mobile site from all web-enabled devices, whether or not the device runs JavaScript (!). This is made possible by adding a server side Mobile Analytics code snippet (PHP, Perl, JSP and ASPX) to your mobile site
iPhone and Android mobile application developers can now also track how users engage with apps, just as with tracking engagement on a website.
- Algorithmic driven Intelligence engine to Google Analytics
- Custom Alerts make it possible to tell Google Analytics what to watch for
